The Voice of Poet: Rabindranath Tagore
Rabindranath Tagore is a famous poet who has tried all literary genres and achieved adept degree. Tagore, the majority of whose works has a lyrical nature, was able to express his feelings and thoughts strongly in his prose works. Everything that concerns human beings is of interest to him. In his words and actions, people see that the emotions and aspirations that they have vaguely felt and hard to express are embodied. Emotional sincerity and a vivid imagination, combined with the melody in their verses, reveal poems that remain in mind, even after words are forgotten. Tagore, who writes on the subjects such as nature, man, God, death, loneliness, freedom, longing and especially love, wrote the Indian national anthem and succeed in immortalization of his voice. Our study aims to listen to the loving voice of Tagore, by selecting a few of his poems among over a thousand of them.
