Burning The Divan: The Evaluations of Poets of Classical Turkish Poetry About Poems
In classical poetry, Sufism and its sub-branches are one of the largest sources of this literary tradition. From the beginning and after the classical period, especially Sufi elements and masnavis; every form, type and stages of poetry/words are processed. Within the classical poetry, there is a general acceptance of the source of the speech based on the sufistic background regardless of the poet's legitimacy or sect. The expression and nurturing of the word from a divine point prepared the ground for the frequent expression of this stylistic feature in poems. In this study, it is tried to be determined that almost all poets benefit from mystical background in classical literature and similar style features are used because of common memory in tradition. This situation, which is expressed in terms such as renouncing poetry / expression , abandoning the word / kalam , burning the divan, has been handled by the poets who are known as sufism and who are the main materials of Sufi poetry as well as poets who have poems in classical style and who do not use Sufism. This partnership is one of the most important elements that show the source of poetry/expression and the general perception of Sufism in classical literature respectively; on the basis of the expression and/or poetry.

Key Words: Sufism, Poetry, Expression, Burning the Divan.
