The values of linguistic signs occur individually by the existence of the vocabulary as well as syncretism performed. “Soul” as a word has been used as a special sign in nearly every literal work created through the history of Turkish language when considered from this point of view and had an extensive conceptual field appearing in each level of it. In this study, we tried to determine the use of “soul” as a word in the most important works in the Turkish language, and we investigated the value in use through the examples. We dwelled on the emotional and associative value of this word considered as a divine gift for the Turkish language in a specific period where the language becomes the real speech.
